During this time of social distancing, the Young Artist’s Studio is coming to you. Join us for the next installment of our Young Artist’s Studio with local artist Tatianna Ammons of Ngoma Expressions, who will introduce our young participants to dance movement inspired by the rhythms of Senegal, Mali, and Guinea in West Africa! The class is appropriate for all ages, fitness, and experience levels. Youth participants will explore movement, rhythm, and culture! The Young Artist's Studio is a series of art workshops sponsored by The Urbana Free Library and The Urbana Arts & Culture Program designed to offer youth an opportunity to explore the arts. All events in the series are free and open to the public. For children ages 5 to 11 and their families.
We can’t wait to see you there! Please register here through the Library’s event calendar. We’ll email a link and a phone number to the email you provide in your registration so that you can join us online with Zoom.
Haven’t heard of Zoom? Here’s the scoop:
Zoom is a videoconferencing program that allows everyone participating to see each other (and anything in the background!) and speak with each other using a computer or smart phone. Participants without a computer or smart phone can call in to the program like a conference call, but will not be able to see the other participants.
Though this program is online, the Library reminds everyone to be as courteous and kind as they would be at a program in the Library.
